Australian Unity commissioned a stunning cultural art piece for The Alba, and it’s a celebration of connection and belonging. Collaborating with talented indigenous artists, this unique urban art installation is a testament to Australian Unity’s Better Together® philosophy, which is seamlessly woven into the design of interior and shared community spaces.

The vision behind this artwork encapsulates the essence of connection, belonging, and wellness. The installation combines three key elements: the branch of the native cherry ballart, its fruit, and a woven basket. Together, they pay homage to the rich history of Bunurong Country, celebrating intergenerational knowledge and fostering a sense of belonging within the community.

The artists are indigenous women, one of whom uses traditional cultural practices in her art. Their work not only enriches The Alba but also serves as a reminder of the importance of preserving indigenous traditions.
