We’ve had a little taste of celebrity, with The Alba being in not one but two stories on the Nine Network recently. With more and more residents moving into their new homes – and loving being a part of our modern assisted living and aged care community, it’s no wonder we’re getting some national attention!

It was fantastic to be featured on the Nine Afternoon News. Their finance reporter explored the fact that empty office towers are being converted into communities for older people. At a cost of $125 million, we’ve done just that, by converting what was once Australian Unity’s head office into our brand new 15-storey community, The Alba. The reporter went so far as to call it a ‘property revolution’ because it aims to solve two problems: repurposing empty office towers and creating new housing. Watch the story.

We were also featured on the Today Show, where Karl and Sarah spoke to Fender Katsilidis lead architect Jessica Lee about the key challenges and opportunities around the construction of The Alba. They also interviewed new resident Julie, who absolutely loves her brand-new suite and lifestyle.
